Removing Demo Licenses File from Device Administrator

You remove demo licenses after they have expired or when you commission a site.

Do not remove the demo licenses file from Device Administrator until all demo licenses are removed from your automation servers.

Demo licenses are used for demonstration purposes, training, or when building a site.

There are two types of demo licenses:

  • EcoStruxure Building Operation Software Demo Licenses on Windows. These licenses are managed by License Administrator and handles licenses on Enterprise Server and Enterprise Central.

  • SpaceLogic Automation Server Demo Licenses. These licenses are managed by Device Administrator and handles licenses on Automation Servers.

EcoStruxure Building Operation Software Demo License on Windows Management

Demo licenses for EcoStruxure Building Operation software are local, bound to the computer, and cannot be shared.

The license file used to activate demo licenses can only be used once per computer and is time-limited. The demo license is installed on License Server from a license file with the extension .asr. Demo licenses must be activated on the same computer that runs WorkStation, Enterprise Server or Enterprise Central.

SpaceLogic Automation Server Demo License Management

You add and remove licenses on automation servers using Device Administrator.

To remove a demo license file from Device Administrator

  1. In Device Administrator, click Entitlements .

  2. In the Entitlements view, click Demo License .

  3. Click Delete .

  4. Click the Save current list button

The demo license is removed. You must now purchase, assign, and activate licenses for the features you want to use.
