Important:

Avoid interrupting power to the controller during the short period of time when the Status LED is flashing red and green. An interruption causes problems with the I/O processor upgrade, which can lead to corrupt firmware. The symptom of a corrupt I/O processor is often seen as the controller reporting itself as a “MP-C-15A”. A corrupt I/O processor can lead to loss of reset button functionality, loss of all I/O functionality, inability to upgrade the I/O processor, and/or inability to upgrade the controller.
