The Schneider Electric hardware devices for SmartStruxure solution include terminal bases, PS-24V power supplies, SmartStruxure server devices such as Automation Servers, AS-Ps, and AS-Bs, I/O modules, and ADs.

Terminal Bases

The terminal bases are used for SmartStruxure devices that are based on the patented two-piece design. The terminal base provides the I/O bus to the electronics module installed on the terminal base as well as to the SmartStruxure device installed to the right (next terminal base in the chain).

For more information, see Terminal Bases .

PS-24V Power Supplies

PS-24V is the power supply for the AS-P, Automation Server, and I/O modules. The PS-24V power supply requires an input voltage of either 24 VAC +/–20 % or 24–30 VDC.

For more information, see PS-24V Power Supplies .

Automation Servers

An Automation Server is a Schneider Electric manufactured embedded device that generally serves as the lowest tier SmartStruxure server within the SmartStruxure solution. The Automation Server controls and supervises equipment, typically HVAC equipment. The Automation Server uses I/O modules with connected field devices, such as sensors and actuators, to do that.

For more information, see Automation Servers .

AS-Ps

AS-P is the successor to Automation Server, and offers several improvements such as enhanced processor performance, increased memory size, dual Ethernet ports, and high speed USB interfaces. Like the Automation Server, AS-P is a Schneider Electric manufactured embedded device that generally serves as the lowest tier SmartStruxure server within the SmartStruxure solution. The SmartStruxure server device controls and supervises equipment, typically HVAC equipment. AS-P uses I/O modules with connected field devices, such as sensors and actuators, to do that.

For more information, see AS-Ps .

I/O Modules

By adding a variety of I/O and power supply modules, you can use AS-P or Automation Server to tailor the Intelligent Building Management System to your unique requirements.

For more information, see I/O Modules .

AS-Bs

AS-B is a powerful SmartStruxure server device that features both onboard I/O and built-in power supply. Like the other SmartStruxure server devices, AS-B is a Schneider Electric manufactured embedded device that generally serves as the lowest tier SmartStruxure server within the SmartStruxure solution. The SmartStruxure server device controls and supervises equipment, typically HVAC equipment. AS-B uses its onboard I/O with connected field devices, such as sensors and actuators, to do that.

For more information, see AS-Bs .

AD v1

AD v1 provides a Human Machine Interface (HMI) for local access to SmartStruxure servers.

For more information, see AD v1 .

AD v2

AD v2 is the successor to AD v1, and offers several improvements such as higher display resolution, enhanced processor performance, and increased memory size. Like AD v1, AD v2 provides a Human Machine Interface (HMI) for local access to SmartStruxure servers.

For more information, see AD v2 .

Wiring

The wiring recommendations provide guidance regarding wiring of the I/O modules and the SmartStruxure server devices.
